Description:
modification password: lpcphysics
The purpose of this workshop is:
* To inform the US community of the CMS plans that are in place
*To provide an opportunity for US CMS experienced physicists to make input to the planning process
*To ensure that we have a plan, with specific individuals and groups identified to cover all responsibilities for detectors that the US built or is heavily involved in and to cover any other commitments we have made, for example in the area of data operations
*To undertake new commitments, within our available resources, in areas where CMS has identified holes.
There will be 3 Working Groups preparing for the Workshop
1. Commissioning: calibration, alignment, reco, physics objects, SM processes - detectors
2. Detector Ops - shifts, data quality monitoring, training, documentation
3. Data Ops- data processing, Tier0, Tier1 and Tier 2, triggers, data streams, data sets, re-reconstruction
